Weekend emergencies
We run a daytime emergency service on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at the Fuengirola clinic: Saturdays 17:00–20:00, Sundays 10:00–13:00 and 17:00–20:00. There is no overnight service — we would rather tell you that than have you drive here at three in the morning. Call anyway and we will point you to the nearest on-call hospital. A full veterinary practice, not just a consulting room
Both clinics handle day-to-day care and the more complicated cases, so your pet does not have to be referred to Málaga for routine surgery or diagnostics.
Soft tissue surgery
Neutering and spaying, lump removal, abdominal and digestive surgery, with pre-anaesthetic assessment and post-operative follow-up.
Orthopaedics & trauma
Fractures, dislocations, cruciate ligament rupture, hip and elbow dysplasia and other orthopaedic problems in dogs and cats.
Internal medicine
Digestive, endocrine, kidney, heart and chronic conditions, with in-house bloodwork, ultrasound and endoscopy.
Vaccinations & prevention
Vaccination schedules, worming, microchipping and health checks for puppies, adults and older pets. Ask us about the year-round health plan.
Imaging & diagnostics
Abdominal ultrasound and diagnostic endoscopy on site, so you usually get answers the same day rather than after a referral.

If you have just moved here with a pet
Registering a pet in Spain is not complicated, but it is different from what you are used to. A few things worth knowing.
- Microchips are compulsory for dogs in Andalusia, and your pet must be registered on the regional database. If your pet was chipped abroad, the chip usually works here — bring the number and we will check it reads.
- Bring whatever records you have. A vaccination card, pet passport or a letter from your previous vet is enough for us to pick up where they left off. If you have nothing, we can start from scratch.
- Rabies vaccination is required in Andalusia and needs keeping up to date. Ask us when yours is next due.
- Leishmaniasis is endemic here. It is spread by sandflies and is far more common on this coast than in northern Europe. Prevention is straightforward but it needs to be deliberate.
- Travelling back with your pet? Requirements depend on the destination and the airline, and they change. Call us before you book flights, not after.
